A stenciled flyer with the SZETA founders’ call for aiding the poor, March 1980. This was in fact the first document published in the name of SZETA (Fund for Aiding the Poor) with its founders’ availability posted: name, address, and phone number.
“Dear Friend, In Hungary the social problem of poverty is still unsolved, although the living conditions of the poor can only be harder with the growing economic problems our country is facing. […] Help as you can: with donations, by collecting clothes, household and school equipment, books, children toys, etc., or by providing legal, medical, technical, and tutorial help for needy families.
All those who would like to join the relief work are personally welcome to begin consultations with SZETA on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Budapest home of an organizer, Gabriella Lengyel.”
